Analyse your trading performance

This guide shows you how to use Remote MCP to pull your trade history, calculate key performance metrics and identify patterns in your results.

1. Pull your deal history

Start by retrieving all executed deals for the period you want to analyse.

Show me all my deals from the last 30 days.

The agent returns a list of deals including symbol, side, volume, execution price and status. This raw data is the foundation for all the analysis that follows.

2. Calculate key metrics

Ask the agent to compute your core performance numbers.

Based on my deals from the last 30 days, calculate the following:
total number of trades, number of winning trades, number of losing
trades, win rate, average winning trade in dollars, average losing
trade in dollars, and profit factor.

The agent processes your deal history and returns the metrics. Profit factor is the ratio of gross profits to gross losses, and a value above 1.0 means your wins outweigh your losses.

3. Break down performance by symbol

Understand which instruments are working for you and which are not.

Break down my last 30 days of trading performance by symbol.
For each symbol, show the number of trades, win rate and total P&L.

This helps you identify whether certain symbols are consistently profitable or consistently losing.

4. Find your best and worst days

Look at how your performance varies day to day.

Group my deals from the last 30 days by date and show the daily P&L.
Highlight the best and worst days.

Patterns may emerge. For example, you might notice that you perform worse on certain days of the week or after a losing streak.

5. Review commissions and costs

Trading costs reduce your net performance. Ask the agent to calculate them.

What is the total commission I paid on all trades in the last
30 days? Show the breakdown by symbol.

Compare commission costs against your gross profits to understand how much of your edge is consumed by costs.

6. Combine into a full performance report

Run a single prompt that produces a comprehensive review.

Generate a trading performance report for the last 30 days. Include:
total trades, win rate, average win and loss, profit factor, breakdown
by symbol with P&L and win rate, total commissions paid and best and
worst trading days. Present the results in a table where possible.

The agent consolidates all the data into a structured report you can review or save.
