# ChartArea.IsAlive

## IsAlive

Checks whether the instance is still on the chart area.

Environments: Desktop supported · CLI supported · Cloud supported.

C#:

```csharp
bool IsAlive {get;}
```

Python:

```python
chartArea.IsAlive: bool
```

### Returns

`bool` — 

### Examples

C#:

```csharp
foreach (var area in Chart.IndicatorAreas)
{
    if (area.IsAlive)
        Print("Indicator area is still on the chart, height: {0}", area.Height);
}
```

Python:

```python
for area in api.Chart.IndicatorAreas:
    if area.IsAlive:
        api.Print(f"Indicator area is still on the chart, height: {area.Height}")
```
