# ChartIndicators.IndicatorAdded

## IndicatorAdded

Occurs when a new indicator is added to a chart.

Environments: Desktop supported · CLI supported · Cloud not supported.

- Cloud: Always empty: Count is 0, Add returns null, Remove returns false, and the events never fire.

C#:

```csharp
event Action<ChartIndicatorAddedEventArgs> IndicatorAdded;
```

Python:

```python
api.ChartIndicators.IndicatorAdded += handler  # handler(obj: ChartIndicatorAddedEventArgs)
```

### Returns

`Action<ChartIndicatorAddedEventArgs>` —

C#:

```csharp
protected override void OnStart()
{
    ChartIndicators.IndicatorAdded += OnIndicatorAdded;
}

private void OnIndicatorAdded(ChartIndicatorAddedEventArgs args)
{

def on_start(self):
