# Functions.Minimum

## Minimum(DataSeries series, int period)

Finds the minimum of a data series for a given period.

Environments: Desktop supported · CLI supported · Cloud supported.

C#:

```csharp
public static double Minimum(DataSeries series, int period)
```

Python:

```python
Functions.Minimum(series: DataSeries, period: int) -> float
```

### Parameters

- `series` (`DataSeries`, Python `DataSeries`): Input data series
- `period` (`int`, Python `int`): Input period

### Returns

`double` — The minimum value in the data series in this period

### Examples

C#:

```csharp
var lowestLow = Bars.LowPrices.Minimum(20);
Print("Lowest low of the last 20 bars: {0}", lowestLow);
```

Python:

```python
lowestLow = Functions.Minimum(api.Bars.LowPrices, 20)
api.Print(f"Lowest low of the last 20 bars: {lowestLow}")
```
