# Symbol.IsCustom

## IsCustom

Gets whether current symbol is a custom symbol or not.

Environments: Desktop supported · CLI supported · Cloud supported.

C#:

```csharp
bool IsCustom {get;}
```

Python:

```python
api.Symbol.IsCustom: bool
```

### Returns

`bool` — 

Available since cAlgo.API 5.3.

### Examples

C#:

```csharp
if (Symbol.IsCustom)
    Print("{0} is a custom symbol", SymbolName);
```

Python:

```python
if api.Symbol.IsCustom:
    api.Print(f"{api.SymbolName} is a custom symbol")
```
