# Symbol.NormalizeVolumeInUnits

## NormalizeVolumeInUnits(double volume, RoundingMode roundingMode)

Round the volume to the amount suitable for a trade.

Environments: Desktop supported · CLI supported · Cloud supported.

C#:

```csharp
double NormalizeVolumeInUnits(double volume, RoundingMode roundingMode)
```

Python:

```python
api.Symbol.NormalizeVolumeInUnits(volume: float, roundingMode: RoundingMode) -> float
```

### Parameters

- `volume` (`double`, Python `float`): Amount to normalize
- `roundingMode` (`RoundingMode`, Python `RoundingMode`): Rounding method

### Returns

`double` — Normalized volume

### Examples

C#:

```csharp
var volume = Symbol.NormalizeVolumeInUnits(12345.67, RoundingMode.Down);
Print("Normalized volume: {0}", volume);
```

Python:

```python
volume = api.Symbol.NormalizeVolumeInUnits(12345.67, RoundingMode.Down)
