# Position.Channel

## Channel

Gets the channel via which the position was placed in a `string` format.

Environments: Desktop supported · CLI works differently · Cloud works differently.

- CLI: Trades the cBot sends carry channel 'cBot Console' instead of the desktop 'cBot cTrader'.
- Cloud: Trades the cBot sends carry channel 'cBot Cloud' instead of the desktop 'cBot cTrader'.

C#:

```csharp
string Channel {get;}
```

Python:

```python
position.Channel: str
```

### Returns

`string` — 

### Examples

C#:

```csharp
foreach (var position in Positions)
    Print("Position {0} channel: {1}", position.Id, position.Channel);
```

Python:

```python
