Investing in Strategies¶
Once you have logged in with your cTrader ID and you created a demo or live account, you can start copying strategies as an investor.
Usually, the ability to copy strategies of different type is regulated by the broker by providing investors with full and demo membership.
Demo strategies are marked with a blue 'Demo' icon and have a blue 'Start Copying' button. They are always free to copy as they deal with virtual money only. In turn, live strategies have a green 'Live' icon as well as a green 'Start Copying' button. They can be free as well but strategy providers often charge fees from investors.

1. To start copying a strategy, click on the corresponding 'Start Copying' button in the straegy list or on the strategy page. In live strategies, you will face all fees right on the green button.
2. In the 'Start Copying' window that will pop up, select your preferred account from the dropdown menu and input the amount of funds you wish to invest in this strategy. It cannot be lower than the minimum investment required for this strategy.
Warning
If your account leverage is lower than the strategy provider's leverage, there is a chance that your margin will not be sufficient to copy all the trades of this strategy and you may reach the stop out earlier than the strategy provider.
Check the 'Add to Favourites' box if you want the strategy you are copying to be displayed in the 'Favourites' tab.
Click on the 'Start Copying' button at the bottom of the window.
3. Now, the funds allocated from your account are deposited to a special copy-trading account, and this account starts copying the chosen strategy. You can review your investment statistics per strategy on dedicated pages that you can access from the accounts list.
