Account access rights

Account access rights let another cTrader user place, modify and close trades on one trading account without your login credentials. They cannot deposit, withdraw or reach other accounts on your cTrader ID, and you can revoke the access at any time.

Benefits for money managers

  • Trade a client's account remotely, with its full functionality.
  • Reach every account shared with you from one place.

Stats to share is a different feature: it publishes the account's results to anyone with the link, without letting them trade.

Grant access

The Account access rights screen in cTrader Mobile

  1. Open My cTrader.
  2. Tap Account access rights below Stats to share.
  3. Enter the other trader's email or cTrader username in Email or username.
  4. Tap Share access.

The account then appears in the other trader's account selector. You keep your own access to it and can review every trade the person managing it makes.

Warning

Account access rights let another person trade with your money. Grant them only to someone you trust.

Stop sharing

Tap Stop sharing on the Account access rights screen to revoke access. The screen shows the trader you have granted access to under Authorised user, above a reminder of what they can do.

Alternative sharing options

Manage trading accounts in the main menu reaches every account at once, with the shared ones gathered under Accounts shared with you and Accounts shared by you. You can share your own accounts and manage accounts shared with you at the same time. Each card names the trader on the other side of the share.

Manage trading accounts showing an account shared with you and an account shared by you

  • Account name – rename the account.
  • Share access – grant a trader access by entering their email or cTrader username.
  • Hide account – hide the account from the account selector.
  • Reject access – remove an account shared with you from your accounts.
  • Revoke access – stop the other trader from trading an account you shared.

Note

After revoking access to your trading account, you can grant it to the same person or someone else.
