Signal links

A signal link opens the Place order screen with the supported parameters of an order already set.

Benefits for signal providers

  • Share from the order screen, positions or pending orders in a few taps.
  • Adjust any parameter in the link by hand before sending it through messengers or social media.
  • Attribute other traders with every signal link working as an invite link if your broker-branded app supports cTrader Invite. If you are registered in the broker referral programme, sharing signal links will expand your referral base.

The link can carry the symbol, order type, direction, entry price, protections and your comment. Each order type adds its own: a Market range on market orders, a Trigger side on stop and stop-limit orders, a Limit range on stop-limit orders and an expiry on any pending order. See the table of link parameters for what each parameter does.

Note

A recipient who is not a cTrader user is asked to sign up and open a trading account first. Every recipient can adjust any parameter before placing the order.

You can share the parameters as a signal link without placing the order.

  3. Tap in the upper-right corner.
  4. Choose a channel and contact in the sharing sheet or copy the link.

A position is shared as a market-order signal, whatever order type opened it.

A signal link is a URL built from parameters and their values. The first is preceded by a question mark, every one after it by &.

https://app.ctrader.com/signal?s=XAUUSD&d=buy&o=market&tp=4261.84&r=20.00&c=Go

The link above shares XAUUSD (s=XAUUSD) as a buy (d=buy) market order (o=market), with the take profit at 4261.84 (tp=4261.84), a market range of 20.00 pips (r=20.00) and the comment "Go" (c=Go).

You can edit any parameter by hand before sending the link or build a link from scratch. With cTrader Invite, the app adds u for you, attributing every trader who follows the link to your account.
