Offer a subscription¶
You can sell a product on a recurring basis instead of, or alongside, a one-time price. With a subscription, buyers pay you a recurring fee, and you keep earning for as long as they stay subscribed. For the buyer's side of the flow, see Subscribe to a product.

Only verified accounts can publish paid and subscription products.
Enable a subscription¶
When you publish or edit a product, select Subscription in the Price block, considering the following conditions:
- Free and Subscription cannot be selected together.
- Subscription can be combined with a one-time price.
After you click Publish, a Set up your subscription message reminds you to finish the setup. Until you add subscription terms, the product is treated as free.
Subscription setup is a separate Subscription step in the product form. Open it to add your plans.
Pricing plans¶
A product's pricing plan depends on its price and whether it has any active subscription plans:
- Free - the price is $0 and there are no active plans.
- Subscription - the product has at least one active plan, with or without a one-time price.
- One-time - the price is above $0 and there are no plans.
You don't set the pricing plan directly - it follows from the price and plans you choose above, and it is shown on your products and on the Subscription plans page.

Once a product becomes subscription-based, it can no longer be changed back to free.
Add a plan¶
On the Subscription step, add a plan for each billing period you want to offer. For each plan you set:
- Subscription period - set how often the buyer is charged. You can add each period only once.
- Subscription price, $ - set the price charged each billing period.
After you set a period and price, click Save.
Pricing and limits¶
The recurring amount you can set has a minimum and a maximum, based on the product's price and billing period. The form enforces these as you type, and shows an error message if your amount is out of range.
Billing periods¶
The period selector lists the billing periods available for your product: weekly, monthly, 6-monthly or yearly.
Manage a plan¶
The Subscription plans page in your cTrader Store account lists your plans. For each plan you see the Product name, Product type, Subscription period, Price and a Subscribers count. You can search by product name and filter by product type and subscription period.
Editing a plan
When you edit a plan, a new version of it is created and the previous version is archived. Buyers who are already subscribed keep their current terms until they cancel.
Deleting a plan
- For subscription-only products, you cannot deactivate the last active plan. To stop offering the product to new buyers, archive it instead.
- For products that also have a one-time price, you can delete the last subscription plan. Buyers who are already subscribed retain access until they cancel.
Track subscribers and earnings¶
The Subscribers count on the Subscription plans page shows how many buyers are actively subscribed to each plan. Subscription payments are added to your seller earnings.
